First time I saw Kenneth Snelson’s work by my eyes.

Most sculpture with 3 dimensions cannot be understand well in 2 dimensions as the photography.

His work is really fantastic. All solid pieces do not touch each other. They all are tight with the wires or slings. Stable construction with tensiob force.

For 2.5 years with architecture major, I tried to make no-column building. I thought about hanging or using any core to be columns. Anyway, my buildings still stand on the ground. After I saw Kenneth Snelson’s work, I will try to think about building without legs.
