Paradox is one of my most favorite bands in the world, and my #1 most favorite band in Thailand. Although I do not like Thai pop-rock music, I can say that Paradox is the best of all them. Genre of Paradox tend to be Alternative Rock. Alternative Rock is a subset of Punk, and Emo is a subset of Punk, too. All these kinds are so similar. Emo is just a little bit sweeter and slower. Paradox can do the high quality of recording and song arranging. The main guy who work on all songs is the band leader, TaTa (TarTar ตาต้า or just “Ta”). He play rhythm guitar line and sing all songs. His lyrics have high identity, or in another word, he has his own language. The words he likes are “Chao (สับสนวุ่นวาย)”, “Everything (ทุก ๆ อย่าง)”, “A Lot (มากมาย)”, etc. He also wrote many funny and strange words that the audiences will never think that they will be in the songs!

I believe that if Paradox does the international tour or international promote, they can be so popular very fast. I listen to American Alternative Rock/ Emo/ Punk, and Paradox is just so similar. Paradox was born before those famous band actually, but their influence built them up the same way. These are Paradox’s favorite bands, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Sex Pistols, Fear Factory, Nirvana and Green Day. Paradox grew up with this music, and it is a big different from other Thai bands. Most of Thai bands listened to Pop music when they were young, because the Records company always promote only pop in 1990’s.
