Philip K. Dick : One guy changes whole world

Philip K. Dick is one of the most influential novelist in the world of Hollywood. He wrote more than 30 novels and many short stories. The genre of his book is science fiction mixed with traditional belief, which makes the science fiction more interesting; for example, six sense and palm reading. With these interesting solid ideas, many people have become his fans, and some of them praise his work as their cult.

Because of how genius and how famous Dick was, seven of his novels have been turned to be the popular films. Each one got the best cinematic technique comparing with the movie in the same period. This has forced the software programmers to develop the special effect and 3Ds software to support the later films.

Dick’s work is not only one of the mainstays of film development, but it is also the inspiration for the astronauts to get outside the planet earth. These books are “The Man Who Jade”, “Martian Time-Slip”, “The Game Players of Titan”, “We Can Remember it for You Wholesale” and “The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch”.

Regularly, the profit-making manufacturer companies will produce things follow the customers’ need. Dick did make incredible dreams for his fans. When many people dream about hi-tech tools, the companies will find the way to built them up. For example, a fast and energy-saving car, a broad communication device, the small but powerful weapon, android etc. In 2009, Japanese scientists developed a dream recorder, so upcoming future, dream recorder might be a part of human’s communication.

Lastly, Dick’s fans believe that Hollywood will created more films based on Dick’s books in the near future. This means soon all of us will see more fantastic cinematic technique. And one day, all Dick’s imagination will not be just in file, but it will become real; as well as the title of a book written about Dick by Emmanuel Carrère, “I Am Alive and You Are Dead”.
