Participate the Times-icon Conference as the Third Time
I am a teacher working in a public university. All of us have to be evaluated every year. People, who are temporarily hired, told me that they might be fired if their scores are less than 60 from 100. And for the employees with the long-term contract, the salary would be increased 1 percent if only their score is higher than 60.
An important factor that could help us increase our evaluation score is to go to a conference. I had, earlier, come to this conference, Times-icon, part two years. The reason that I keep joining this conference are that the staffs and peer reviewers are friendly and optimistic. Every time, I have to edit my paper according to the comments from peer reviewers, I feel that they do not try to hurt, but to help. The point that I want to made here is that I did not join Times-icon because I have the right to do something that others cannot, but I prefer this conference because of its friendliness and professionalization.
The presenters are from many institutes both inside and outside Thailand. Some of them are students, like, Master and doctoral students. I think that about half of them are teachers as well as me. I mean the university lecturers.
Next year, I planned to join this conference again. I would submit more than one paper. I am really happy if my paper could be published in IEEE database. The proceeding in IEEE is also appeared in SCOPUS search engine. Although some in my university seem to ignore this benefit, I still keep doing it. I know what is the right thing to do. No one could stop me just by providing me less fund to join this conference.
