Is a Big class better than Small class in Thailand education?

Here is Proud Arunrangsiwed. I am the lecturer of 4 animation classes. I got 28 students per class. If I compare the number of students per class to one I experienced in other countries, like, USA, and Australia, I think I got too-many students. However, I am not the one who got the highest number of students in one class though. My dear friend who also teaches Animation as well as me got about more than 40 students in one class. He teaches about 6-8 classes. And I believe that is too heavy.

If I do not compare mine to his, I would think that I got the heaviest task in this semester. I am very tired every time I got into this. Twenty-eight students within one class were in computer lab. Everyone got weird problems, like, they got stuck with some menu or process to produce animation. Some got error in software, and some could not find some menu. It is just like that. That is the environment all computer teachers would experience. When the number of students is high, teachers would get a high number of questions or problems. A teacher will need to solve each for each student. That is what always happens, and it happens to me in this semester.

I know the school got no way out. We have a lot of students. We have to open about 10 sections to allow the opportunity for everyone to learn. To open only few sections is not enough. To let only 10-20 students enroll in each section is not enough, too. Next semester is something, like, nightmare. I will have about 48 students in each class. It should be a long-hard road from the beginning to the end of the semester. The only way to solve this in the future is to limit the number of the first-year students of freshmen.

It might be the time that we need to concentrate more about the quality not the quantity. I hope we got a better management system before the entrance or admission examination of the 12th grade students. I will not blame my organization. They did best for all these candidates. They let someone who needs to be the filmmaker or animators have the opportunity to make their dreams come true.
