Thai people experienced the great flood in 2011. In that moment, I was in Australia, because I continue my master degree there. I came back to Thailand at the end of the flood. I found that the house and all other places around my area got some dirt. My family hired people to remove the dirt out from the house and clean the street in front of the horse. During that time, I found that many people are so nice. They cared others and tried to help.
Currently, the time that I am writing this blog post. Thailand reopened some part of the city and business after the lock down period due to COVID-19. Everything seems to be so different from the flood time. Instead of seeing the kindness, I could see the selfishness. There are irresponsible people on the street and on the shop. While others try to keep the 6-feet distance, these people do not care. They walked close to us and sometimes hit us just to move forward. When my mother told them stay apart, they just rail back. They said that they were not sick. Okay, everyone could say that he is not sick, but how can we believe him. These people are so mean. They acted like COVID-19 had never been spread in Thailand.
There are also other selfishness that I could see. I have never hated the working-class people like this moment. In fact, I got a lot of friends around my places who are working class. They are nice actually. However, in the news, the group of working class people did not do anything to help themselves. They just ask the government for the money. If the government did not do what they wanted, they would group up at some public place just for the reporters or journalists to shoot to photos and send out in social network.
These working class people are unlike my friends. My friends are still working even in the COVID-19 lock down. They tried to find the opportunity and find the new job. Like, instead of working in the factory, they work at home by making to dust mask and face shield. Some got the job to cut the lawn because the raining season is coming. These are working-class people I know in my real life. They are different from those in the news. I hate working-class people in the news. They are irresponsible and so selfish.
