Preface

โพสนี้อาจารย์พราวต้องการให้คนที่กำลังศึกษา หรือกำลังจะจบการศึกษา หรือกำลังจะหางานทำในองค์กร หรือในบริษัทหนึ่ง ๆ ได้รู้และเข้าใจตำแหน่งงานต่าง ๆ ในองค์กร
For this post, its’ benefit to ones who are studying in a college or ones who are nearly finish their study or who are intending to find a job in any organization. Lect. Proud will tell about the functions in some essential positions.

อาจารย์พราวจะยกตัวอย่างเพื่อใช้คำต่าง ๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับหน้าที่งานในองค์กร ได้แก่

Find a job คือหางาน; Apply a job คือสมัครงาน
Organization คือองค์กร; Chart or diagram คือผัง หรือแผนผัง; Organization chart คือผังการจัดองค์กร
Function คือหน้าที่การงาน การปฏิบัติงาน; Responsibility คือความรับผิดชอบในงาน
Department คือฝ่ายในองค์กร; Section คือส่วนหรือแผนกงานในองค์กร มักขึ้นกับฝ่าย
Public relations คือการประชาสัมพันธ์; แต่พอเติมคำว่า Officer ตามหลัง ก็จะกลายเป็นนักประชาสัมพันธ์; Relationships คือความสัมพันธ์

For the example:

Lect. Proud wants to apply a job in an organization. The function, lect. Proud loves to do is the Public relations officer, PR. This PR has many responsibilities and it is one of many sections which must report to the Marketing Department.

ความหมายของผังการจัดองค์กร

ในที่นี้อาจารย์พราวให้ความหมายของคำว่า ผังการจัดองค์กร คือ แผนผังแสดงโครงสร้างตำแหน่งงานต่างๆ ที่อยู่ตามสายการบังคับบัญชา โดยแยกตามลำดับขั้นจากสูงไปต่ำกว่า มีรูปร่างเหมือนทรงปิรามิด ซึ่งอาจมีหรือไม่มีชื่อพนักงานระบุอยู่ในตำแหน่งงานต่าง ๆ ก็ได้

Lect. Proud gives the definition of an organization chart as a chart presents the structure of an organization which ranking under the chain of command. The hierarchy an organization normally ranks as a pyramid shape. The chart consists with or without names in the positions.

อาจารย์พราวขอแยกคำต่าง ๆ ข้างต้นออกมาเพื่อให้เห็นการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษที่สามารถใช้แทนได้ดังนี้

1. Definition
คือ ความหมาย อาจใช้คำว่า The organization chart definition หรือใช้ preposition of เข้ามาช่วยเป็น The definition of an organization chart เป็นต้น

2. The structure of an organization
คือ โครงสร้างขององค์กร มีหลายรูปแบบมาก ขึ้นกับปัจจัยหรือเหตุผลหลายอย่าง เช่น ฝ่ายหนึ่งอาจขึ้นกับอีกฝ่ายหนึ่งในบริษัทหนึ่ง แต่อาจเป็นฝ่ายอิสระในอีกที่หนึ่ง ตัวอย่างเช่น
– ฝ่ายตรวจสอบ (Audit department) ขึ้นกับกรรมการผู้จัดการ (Managing director, MD)
– ฝ่ายตรวจสอบขึ้นกับคณะกรรมการบริษัท (Board of directors) เพื่อให้สามารถตรวจสอบกรรมการผู้จัดการได้ด้วย เนื่องจาก MD มีหน้าที่จัดการงานในบริษัทอยู่แล้ว

อาจารย์พราวเขียนเป็นภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อตามตัวอย่างข้างต้น

There are many structures of an organization because of many reasons, many factors such as
The audit department may report to Managing director in one company but may report the board of director in other company.

3. The chain of command
คือ สายการบังคับบัญชา ตามลำดับขั้นหรือลำดับชั้นของผังการจัดองค์กร โดย
The chain of command หมายถึง สายการบังคับบัญชา
Hierarchy of the organization หมายถึง ลำดับขั้นขององค์กร
The positions คือ ตำแหน่งงานต่าง ๆ
อาจารย์พราวจะใช้ตัวอย่างฝ่ายตรวจสอบต่อกับคำภาษาอังกฤษข้อนี้ ดังนี้
The hierarchy of the organization presents the audit department must report to the board of director.
