Preface

มีคำถามว่า ระหว่างตำแหน่งหน้าที่บางอย่าง ตำแหน่งไหนสูงกว่ากัน เช่น The chief executive officer (CEO) & the president และระหว่างตำแหน่ง The Director & the Vice president (VP) โพสนี้อาจาราย์พราวจะอธิบายเกี่ยวกับตำแหน่งหน้าที่การงานตามลำดับขั้น ที่องค์กรทั่วไปนิยมใช้กัน

There is a question that which functional position is higher such as the chief executive officer (CEO) & the president; and the director & the vice president (VP). Lect. Proud will describe about these functional positions according to normal hierarchical organization.

อาจารย์พราวอาศัยผังการจัดองค์กรทั่วไปที่หลายบริษัทวางผังกัน โดยมีลำดับ 9 ขั้นตอนได้แก่
Lect. Proud refers to general organization that many companies normally use it.

(1) Board of Directors; (2) Committees (3) The chief executive officer (CEO); (4) The President; (5) Managing Director; (6) Executive Vice President; (7) Senior Vice President or Vice President; (8) Manager; และ (9) Staff level

1. Board of Directors

อาจารย์พราว หมายถึง คณะกรรมการบริหาร เป็นกลุ่มคนที่อยู่สูงสุดขององค์กร เพราะเป็นตัวแทนของผู้ถือหุ้นของบริษัท หรือเจ้าของบริษัทนั่นเอง
Lect. Proud refers Board of Directors to the people group on the top hierarchy of an organization. They are the represents of shareholders.

2. Committees

อาจารย์พราว หมายถึง คณะกรรมการ ซึ่งมีหลายกลุ่ม เช่น คณะกรรมการตรวจสอบ (Audit committees); คณะกรรมการบริหารความเสี่ยง (Enterprise risk committees) คณะกรรมการสหภาพแรงงาน (Union committees); คณะกรรมการบริหารค่าตอบแทน (Remuneration committees); และ คณะกรรการกำกับดูแลองค์กร (Corporate governance committees) เป็นต้น
Lect. Proud refers to many committees such as Audit committees who control the internal audit division/section. Therefore, the auditor team will directly report to the board of directors.

3. The chief executive officer (CEO)

อาจารย์พราว หมายถึง ผู้บริหารสูงสุดของบริษัท และระดับรองลงมามักเป็นตำแหน่งประธานบริษัท
Lect. Proud refers to the highest-ranking officer, and the president is the second level in chain of command.
These are the related English language:
– the highest-ranking officer คือ ระดับสูงสุดในบริษัท
– the second level in chain of command คือ ระดับที่สองของสายการบังคับบัญชา

4. The President

อาจารย์พราว หมายถึงประธานบริษัท หลายบริษัทที่องค์กรขนาดกลาง ตำแหน่ง ผู้บริหารสูงสุดของบริษัท และประธานบริษัท อาจเป็นคนเดียวกัน ภาษาอังกฤษที่เกี่ยวข้องคือ
The chief executive officer คือ ผู้บริหารสูงสุดของบริษัท; The president คือ ประธานบริษัท
SME คือ ธุรกิจขนาดกลาง ย่อมาจาก Small and Medium sized Enterprise
Many SME companies, two of job titles are held by the same person which are the chief executive officer and the president.

5. Managing Director (MD)

อาจารย์พราว หมายถึงกรรมการผู้จัดการ ทำหน้าที่กำกับดูแลการดำเนินธุรกิจทั้งหมดขององค์กร
Lect. Proud means that MS is a person who direct and supervise all business operations in the business.
คำศัพท์ที่เกี่ยวข้อง
To direct คือ กำกับดูแล; To supervise คือ กำกับบริหาร; และ All business operations คือ การดำเนินธุรกิจทั้งหมด

6. Executive Vice President

อาจารย์พราว หมายถึง รองประธานกรรมการบริหาร หน้าที่คล้าย แต่กำกับดูแลงานประจำวันมากกว่า อาจารย์พราวใช้คำว่า More than the day-to-day activities ตามนี้
Executive Vice President will be responsible for the job like Senior Vice President but much more that the day-to-day activities.

7. Senior Vice President (SVP) and Vice President (VP)

อาจารย์พราว หมายถึง รองประธานอาวุโส (SVP) และ รองประธาน (VP)
The senior vice president of a company is below Executive Vice President in the chain of command while an Executive Vice President is second or third level below from CEO & President.

8. Manager

อาจารย์พราว หมายถึง ผู้จัดการ มีหลายฝ่ายหลายแผนกหลายส่วน ภาษาอังกฤษใช้คำว่า Department, Division, Section ดังนี้
There are many managers in an organization either in the departments, divisions or sections.
Normally, section manager will report to division manager who is lower department manager.

9. Staff level

อาจารย์พราว หมายถึง พนักงานทั่วไป โดยปกติมีทุกฝ่าย ทุกแผนก ทุกส่วน อาจารย์เรียกว่า department staff, division staff and section staff ตัวอย่างเช่น
Because of several audit objectives, the internal audit department requires 3 qualified division staff.
– several audit objectives หมายถึง วัตถุประสงค์การตรวจสอบหลายข้อ
– the internal audit department หมายถึง ฝ่ายตรวจสอบภายใน
– 3 qualified division staff หมายถึง เจ้าหน้าที่แผนก หรือเจ้าหน้าที่ส่วนที่มีคุณสมบัติ 3 คน เป็นต้น
