The only reason to stay in my school is that I love to teach my students. There were million reasons that forced me to leave, but I had not left. I tried hard to stay. And at the end, I left the job as a teacher.
The million reasons were not enough to push me out from the school. I was strong enough to stand still against all those reasons. All my strength was from my beloved students and beloved classes. I felt like, I devoted whole life for them, and that encouraged me a little bit, but that was enough to keep me staying longer.
I would like to express my feeling why I lost the only one reason to stay. It came from the politic view of some group of people in Thailand. Some people got brainwashed and transformed to be those with negative attitude toward everything, but fake news.
Earlier, I taught my students to understand gender equality and to empower people from all classes, all ages, and all races. But finally, the political view changes my students to be post-feminist and men’s rights movement (in not proper way). Female students I know accept the family violence, raping, and child prostitution. They understand that it was their right to be sexual object and earn money from sex service. Male students do not want to be gentlemen anymore. They believe that they have right not to provide the seat for pregnant women or elders. Some felt that it is not wrong to hit women or punch lesbians.
I am very upset. This group of kids did not want to listen to their teacher anymore. I am not the cyberstar they worship. I am not the politician who filled this attitude into their brain.
This is how I lost the only reason to stay. Finally, I left my school. I am not their teacher. I have nothing to talk with students who shut their ears, not to listen to any other people. However, I will be the teacher of those who want to listen to me, or reasonable discuss with me.
