Bangkok Teenager

A friend said that she was unhappy about environment around her in Bangkok. She was from Na-Korn-Na-Yok, a province in the east of Thailand. She was rich, I guessed. She had computer and anything she wanted to have. I was rich, she guessed. I studied in New York. We were richer than many people in our university in Thailand. I did not buy new things for every week. We did not show off. She was as where she was from. I was someone who went into it. I was born in Bangkok. Teenager from other provinces who studied in Bangkok, tried to be Bangkok Teenager. They would walk on fabulous way. Not her. I did not listen too much Thailand’s pop music. It was just the same. I was Thai. I was more Thai than Bangkok Teenagers.

I visited temples every weekend. I bought Thai merchandises, except music stuff. My mother’s friend said that people went to temples, because they were sad. Not me. Temples and folks’ communities made me happy. I thought, if I could be the great one, many things would be better. I went to the beach at the west of Thailand with my family. Drive on the high way with salt farms on both side of street. This was the only place that people kept the original occupation, although the high way passed it. The Thai King always passed this high ways to His palace in Hua-Hin. People cared about Him. People knew that He loved to see the folks’ life, rather than the great big buildings. Sufficient Economy. I love Him and all His words. If people cared me as they cared Him, and everywhere I went to, people would keep their original folks’ life. It was beautiful. The happiness did not have to be from the big mall or shopping area. The pure happiness was from the pure smile with pure heart.

I did not want a new car or cellphone or watch or anything. I did not want to have an expensive meal. My happy meal was the meal with my family. Meal on the side of street or at home. Bangkok Teenager forgot their lifes. Many Thai folks forgot their lifes, too. A pressident of Mahidol Wittayanusorn school (Thongchai Chewprecha talked with parents of students. They were educated people. They agreed that they would do the sufficient economy, and they would support Thai farmers, who were poor. A parent asked Mr. Thongchai Chewprecha that if the farmers spent the money for new cars or new cellphones or new televisions. No answer.

A big group of farmers went to Bangkok to meet Apisit Vejjajiva, the prime minister of Thailand. They needed him to remove their debt. They had debt and they sold their farm to buy new cars and new cellphones and new televisions. It was a shame for me and for those parents and for Mr. Chilprecha and for our King. We were a few number of our country, who truely love Thailand. The big number was farmers and our new-age teenagers. They forgot their lifes. Thailand was agriculture country. Thailand was the kitchen of the world. And the farm was the kitchen of Bangkok. Business and the western civilazation are destroying us. They destroy their own kitchen. In nearly future, they will not have any food anymore.

The competition which those and the Bangkok Teenagers made for themselves, all about their dressing and their extravagance. The nonsense competition will kill themselves. It is today. How much we can do for Thailand, and how much we can do for our King. Can I be the great one, who all Thai teenagers will read my words. Those who disagree, cannot hate adults or the King, but they can hate me.
Apisit Vejjajiva liked Oasis and other rock bands. He was a student in England. Foreigners thought that he could not tuned with Thai common folk so well. Sw Eden liked Zi:Kill and other American bands. I am a student in New York. And I am much more Thai than Bangkok Teenager who listen to Thai music. Apisit Vejjajiva is excellent, and his methods is excellent, too.

To a farm, we marry and we have a son
Thank you for all re-born of new lifes
All rice and all people
Me and my bull
You and our spring
Green becomes gold
No TV and no radio
Listen and watch throw the window
THe feild and its sound
No you, then no us
Now, we have to go
Not because of you
Not because of us
Someone else
Who will never understand
We are the men and nature
We serve you by this kitchen
Break kids’ kitchen
Break us apart
Kids are growing up
Kids are just idiot men
No food for them at all
