MMC Plaza : Public Property of Marsh & McLennan Companies

Sw Eden visited MMC Plaza of Marsh & McLennan Companies in a sunny Wednesday afternoon. This place impressed me by how kind its owners are. The width of it can be the width of a building, and the length of it is the width of a street block. That is 45th street in Manhattan, New York City, and every square foot should be more than $1,000. In fact, the landowners could make a lot of profit if they built a commercial building. It is just two blocks from Time Square, and many rich people are around there.

Sw Eden would like to comment it architecturally. MMC Plaza divides its city block into two with a nice pedestrian walkway and hangout space. They grow some tree to green people’s feeling. The only shop on its east side is a flower shop, which is very appropriate for the people around there. They are working people/officers, and they would have enough money to decorate their love life with these beautiful flowers. A New-York-like piece of sculpture sit on top of the flat-stepped waterfall. Sw Eden called it, “New-York-like” because it is made of many perpendicular (90 degree) angles which is just like New York City grid, but it can be looked in many different ways and as many different shapes which is like all the New Yorkers. “New York is one of the most open cities”, quote from Angelo Falcon on ‘The Latinization of New York’, AM New York newspaper, May 5, 2010. When Sw Eden was in Language school, the teacher kept saying that this city was the melting pot or mosaic.

Below the New-York-like sculpture, there is the stepped waterfall which can add a natural sound of water to hide the traffic-noise pollution. This mean the architect did not just slow the walker speed down to the hangout area, he also prevented the plaza users to feel about the rush city.

Two different zones which the architect created to match up two sides of MMC Plaza is about 3 feet difference. The east side is higher than the west side. As Sw said that the only store in the east side is the flower store. The floor level of this flower store is the same height as the east pedestrian walk. For the west side which is 3 feet dropped down, I guess it is for continuation with the indented lobby area of 1166 46th street. It is not only the height of the space which speck the same language with the company, the architect used this lower height to create the harmony of the allowed sunlight to get into the building smoothly.

MMC Plaza is still show the good responsibility for the owners to what they created. They always have the security guard walk around to keep the plaza safe. They are not the cruel guys as many other places in New York, because they are so nice to the visitors. I talked to one of them shortly before I left. MMC Plaza also has custodians to keep the space clean for whole day. You can imagine what people do to the Central Park after they finish eating.

A big glass memorial inscription says, “Our Lost Colleagues Are Above All ,…..”. They define all the families and loving people and following with the list of the name. I do not know much about detail. You should do a little research on Wikipedia. I love that it has two layers lay on top of each other nicely with the name and signature. All these are really nice impressive space in our midtown. You must look at it once you are the NYers!

Elie Gamburg a great Architecture professor

an NYIT student in front of NYIT Manhattan Campus 1855 Broadway

I have never taken any class with Prof. Gamberg, but Sw heard a lot of his stories from other friends. He has been known as the best professor for the best students and vice versa. He requires a proper amount of work and its high quality. The lazy student may not like him.

In my opinion, taking a class with Prof. Gamberg should be a good experience for all students. I have passed many design classes and half of them did not required a proper amount of work. In 2009, Sw Eden took a class with a professor, he did not remember that students printed the same things out over and over again every week. He just looked and checked the same old things. Today, I also take a design class. My professor likes students who work hard, but most students do not work that hard. Although he will give a bad grade to those student, Sw Eden still wants to see everyone work at the same amount and the grade is indicated by its quality. This should be the best and the fairest way for all students. Yes, and the way that all student can learn and spend their money correctly.

Sw Eden heard that Prof. Gamberg is just like what I have talked. I would drive all students to work, and grade them by the quality of work. I met him once after his class at night. He was a professor of my group partner. He commented on my model that the box and the weird shape of building spoke different languages. In fact, I did not show him the shape of the skylight which transfer the perpendicular angle to strange angles. Anyway, I would love the professor who gives a lot of work and a lot of critics better than the professor who is lazy. Students paid a lot of money to learn, and they should get what they paid.

Beinecke Library at Yale

View All Photos of Beinecke Library

“Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library” is the full name of Beinecke Library.

Sw Eden, me, visited Beinecke Library at Yale about 2-3 times, and this sounds not that much for those Yale people. I am in New York City, and without a car. Sw had to take the railroad to get to there. Firstly, if you are in the same place as me, just go to Grand Central, and buy a ticket to go to New Heaven. It is about 2 hours in the train, so you can have a lot of fun to write and to read the stuff.

The one who love this architecture so much is my professor, William Martin. He suggested to to went there. First time, I could not get to the place, because Beinecke Library is hidden behind the original library (which is wonderful with ancient style of architecture). I could find it in my second visiting. So! if you plan to go there, just Google Map now! As an architecture student, I could not to let this opportunity go, and it is the reason of the second visit. Structure is 4-pin-joint supports at 4 corners of base, to support all facade. And in the middle core, is supported by the small columns inside.

William Martin, the first guy on the left

The most interesting thing for me is the translucent facade, and all the concrete panels as frames. I went to a class at Silpakorn University, Thailand in the time that I didn’t take any credit there, and I heard a Thai professor talked about this architecture. He said that the foundation of the drop-down part in front of the library was made by sand, so whole architecture will be protected from earthquake. I have never heard on any other places, but it sounds so cool.

To play solid and void for whole building and the ground in the front of it.

“Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library” is the full name of Beinecke Library. Gordon Bunshaft who is the architect for this cool building play about floating. Because it is for rare books, so it have to be over protecting. Inside the fantastic marble box, it has a glass box with many books, which keep the unique temperature and moisture of the air. When we walk outdoor, we will not be able to see the entrance under there. Sw feels like the building floating out from the ground, and the glass box floating between the whole marble milky way.

Finally, if you are near there (not more than 4 hour traveling), you must go there once in your life! It is worth to go, and it is cool to see, then you will be a super hot guy as my favorite professor who loves this library.

Sky Scrapper in New York City

(Pedestrian Walk)

Lincoln Center, Manhattan, New York City

Cardboard Bridge Structure of William Martin

I took the first structure class of William Martin at NYIT after I dropped the old structure class when I was with Prof. Rondo Imas. Imas time is hard for me to do many credits, but Imas is great actually. After the first class, I always took structure classes with William Martin, until the last structure class, Advance Structure II. The early classes, we learned a lot of calculations, and a lot of methods. The last class is different. We design the bridge, and we vote to build the real scale of one bridge.

Straw Structure as the attempt

William Martin cheered my design a lot, but I left 2 points to win the vote. I know that my bridge would work in the real time. There is no problem on it. If I got the most vote, I will never learn more things to solve the problem. My partner who work on the basement said that people selected to one which had most problem. When the whole class finished building the cardboard tube bridge, William Martin cracked the bridge when he stood on it. He said, he would be the first one who tried, because he had life insuarance. At the end of this semester, he said that the bridge supported itself, but not the people. I am sad that we cannot finish it. When I did not get most vote, I found myself wanted to learn to solve the problem as the real architect life. Right now, problem cannot be solved. William Martin may let us continue the work in next semester, but I will not have a lot of time. I just want to graduate then.

Drill Cardboard with Drilling Machine

Before we built the final bridge, I designed a way to solve the problem, and other friends did, too. I do not know the reason that we have to keep the original design to make to real bridge. Why don’t we change a little bit, just add some more tubes, and we will have fun with pizza on the bridge. Not only my idea which could work, but also many friends’ idea I like.

Drill Cardboard Bridge while building process

“Alright Alright Slow Down”, I would listen to The Academy Is… , then. Bridge can support itself, but not for the people, that is not wrong. I am an artist, and also an architecture student. Architecture is the artwork which people can be in it. If the bridge cannot have people on it, then it became artwork. It is a good thing. Right now, I already love it. There is no water or river for us, but it is our bridge.

Combine stuff we have to make the full scale bridge

New Urbanism : Thimphu, Bhutan

When people talk about New urbanism, we usually think about the modern architecture on modern landscape and city planning with the geometry shape or beautiful curve which can be drawn in Rhino. That is true. Many towns of new urbanism were created in the United States and Europe. Some states like Missouri and Florida have more than 10 town of new urbanism. Most of the design concentrates into housing/real estate, park and pedestrian walk. And lately, they also have a green design, too, so the tree/grass can work out for the people relaxing, the sound shielding, the animal nesting and the world cooling.

Tusk!! Zi:Kill

I rolled the mouse around the Google Image Search, and I found that almost new urbanism towns look so closed together. A town which I am interested is different from other towns. The reconstruction of Thimphu (the capital) at Bhutan is combined with the regular roads and red-roof houses in Bhutan style. New urbanism towns are always closed to the beach, lake, until some designers dig their new lakes for their towns. Thimphu has Thimphu river at the east side of the town. Something I found different from my country is all the spaces along the river are public. (Thai houses always face to the river in order of transportation.) They are big tree and grass, and next from them is street. I guess they concern that the tree’s and the grass’ roots can prevent scouring of the river. Bhutan government really considers about natural environment conservation. The visitors have to pay tax for $200 per a day.

This town is not a grid layout, but it has a main road at the middle of the town. Thimphu sits on a plain land surrounding with many hills, so they could have a fine weather and a nice rain forest. We can notice that every single house has a red slope roof. This is because they have a heavy rain in raining season, and on the website says that the red color is about their religion, Buddhism Kagyupa. Thimphu also includes small stores, market and community place, as the Buddhist temple as Trashicho Dzong. Tashichho Dzong is the building with many layers of roof, which is also red. Instead of being red, because of the religion, The reason of the roof color might be from the material around the town.

TsAO & McKOWN Architecture visiting

In fact, I had never known about this company until I got into their place with my class. Our professor brought all the student in Professional Practice class to there. I did a little short research by looking around on their website. Although TsAO & McKOWN is an architecture company, they have done various kinds of design work. I dare to say that they are all amazing.

My friends’ behaviors to the nice and cruel professors are so different. Nice students always like nice professors, but bad students always look down nice professors. The bad students may consider that the cruel professors are smarter, so they can show off. These are only about the psychology in the class room that always happens.

We, the architecture students did visit TsAO & McKOWN architecture company. What’s cozy place?! How nice of people?! Wooden furniture in their collection is so friendly as human can feel to the nature. Did we think that they are not good enough when we looked at that artistic rough ceiling. Did we think that they are not good enough when they are talking with us. Please do not have a wrong attitude to the real artists. Check them out, they got the 2009 AIA Housing Award. This can be a much better guarantee better than my word.

I was the first guy in the class who went to the place, so I had a little more time to look around their collection. Their place is good enough to be named, “museum”. I asked them where the restroom was, after I travel to Roosevelt Island and Rockefeller Center in that afternoon. Whole restroom was painted black with a big round lamp on the ceiling. It is very hard to see all things on the floor and on the wall, especially the first come in. The nature of the eyes cannot adapt itself that fast. On the left, there was a long pocket. Surely, everyone will pick it. I did wish to tell people outside if they forgot their pocket in the restroom. Another side of the pocket said that, “Please leave this pocket in the restroom.” I was thinking myself if the pocket’s owner put a measurement tool inside to count how many times this pocket was lift up and down. It should be a cheap tool, as well as the one I use to count my steps when I walk in Central Park.

I admire their attempt to collect a lot of artwork, but I still have an opposite attitude when I look at other artist’s work. My belief is my brain can take the idea of other people unconsciously right at the first time I look at the work. This means, I will not open the architecture book when I need an idea for my design class. Although TsAO & McKOWN collects a lot of artwork, they do not copy its concept and idea. Most of their design is based on the function and the relationship of their work to the user.

The examples that they show us are one of skyscraper project with a creative mixing-brick facade, and a transparent lipstick box. For the skyscraper project, some students may compare it with their own work in design classes. Most of student in our class had been in the school since the school did not have a laser cut machine. When they worked by hand, professors encourage them to not do the box. Many of us have weird shaped models, and we got good grades. Some of us still dreamed to work on wired shaped building in their real life. Right then at the office, we listened to the real-time 90 degree angle building with 3 or more colors of brick on facade. One of our design professor always blamed that, the colors in 2Ds were just the decoration. Any things we had known about those words; now they are the real-time project. One of the reasons that my friends stopped doing weird shaped architectures is the school has laser cut. The student will design only flat facade and let the laser cut do the work for them. Another word is they are lazier than before.

I did see a guy in the office work on his paper. He just drew something with pencil and rulers, although all knew Auto CAD. This is the same as another guy in HTNB who can be successful in his architect career without Auto CAD. Auto CAD is just the magic pen, but the nature of human, design by hand is the best way that the brain can spread a good idea out. Many computer programs always force the users to use its tools. People just begin their design with the box. The right way to make a new stuff is to develop the concept to be the actual model, and 99% of the concept is not “box”. How the real-time building became weird-shaped again? Most blocks of the street are square, and most furniture is the square, too.

TsAO & McKOWN made it. They gave the answer in their showroom design. They spread the base of their mannequins as a drop of water splashing. How interesting of the arrangement did not disturb how interesting of the dresses on mannequins. We have to trust that men can do stuff women like, and vice versa. I heard many women said that the good womb doctors are male, and the good scrotum doctors are female. When I was in Mahidol wittayanusorn Science School, the teacher who looked for the women dormitory is male, and vice versa, too.

TsAO & McKOWN did design of women’s lipstick. They needed the women to know how short of the left lipstick. They also want their lipstick to be the first choice of a few lipsticks in the women’s bag. I feel like its shape still the architecture-like. Anyway..

TsAO & McKOWN office arrangement looks so simple. I saw their work of simple shape and simple shade of modern design. They worked for China, Singapore and also my country, Thailand. I am not sure if it is Asia Hotel. If people are interested in their work, they do not need to come to NYC. They can just search for their projects online, and go to the real place in their own country.

They did talk about how to contact people from faraway country, and the architect’s life to sleep in the office at night. Architects have to do the site visit in the project of other countries as well as they need to do in their own place. Site visit actually helps in their design and also can prevent many problems and risks. Doing it in different times of the day should be a good thing. The architects still need to understand the difference of cultures and season, too. I heard about Yin and Yang in China. Kevin Johnson, my business writing professor said that Chinese people thought that fry-potato snack was hot for the human body, so they would not consume it during the summer. The packaging designer had to use the water and sky theme on it bag, to show that the snake was not that not. In fact, it is not only design that architects have to understand about the culture. Architects have to have a good relationship to many kinds of people from different parties, and they are also different in different countries.

So…

This is their website, so you can view their work online http://www.tsao-mckown.com/

Green Architecture Design

5 years ago, I walk into the field of architecture with my best skill of artist and my proud knowledge from Mahidol Wittayanusorn school of science. I did not expect anything from this field, but I thought that architecture should have been the easiest way to graduate. Not so long time ago, my meaning of “Architecture” was changed. I saw many under-constructional areas around my village. Those places had been farm before, but then, they were just the surface of concrete and concrete housing.

Kanjanaburi, photo by Sw Eden on Flickr

Thailand is considered as a perfect country which its land can grow almost kinds of agricultural plants, and has a vast area of forest. King Bhumibol Adulyadej has kept teaching people to head to develop agriculture instead of industrial. Thailand is already good at agriculture, but Thai people just need to make it better and greater. Only less number of capitalists can hear what the King says. They have changed green lands to be nongreen buildings to make a lot of money. My family has been one of foolish people who stepped into their traps. 1997, when I was 10 years old, my family moved to their housing, which built on top of a lotus farm. Many city people love to move out from the crowd areas into suburban housing. They escape from traffic-jam streets and high-pollution air. Most of them have to have their own cars to use in rush hour to go to work in the city. They waste the gas/benzine and also waste the material to make the cars.

Moving Car, photo by Sw Eden on Flickr

The happy life with fresh air could not stay with the city people in suburban so long. When the capitalists invested in malls or supermarkets around those housings, the peaceful areas became the expanded city. The air and noise pollution came into the place. The time to move has come again then. The green areas have been destroyed very fast around many cities in Thailand, such as Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Songkla. Most capitalists do not do a green design, because they just want to pay less. They put a beautiful picture of house with a big grass field on the advertising board. We call those boards, “Air Junk”, because they hide all scenery and wind. People pay for those advertising housing projects before seeing the real houses. Most of real-estate projects in Thailand, people need to pay for every step to build a house, not pay for a finished house. The results that they get are small green areas, because most of green areas are cut to be the main circulation of the project, and that is made by concrete.

The expansion of the city may be a good economic sign in the business term or for the government, but in fact, it is a sign of disaster for environment and for an agriculture country as Thailand. The houses, buildings and factory keep releasing heat and toxic into the natural resources. They do not only hurt the nature by themselves, but they are also harmful for the agriculture areas around. Thai Government announced that rain of all province was not drinkable, because it contained very toxic substance. Although the toxic makers are in the city, the toxic can spread around many places, covering the tropical jungle area in Nakornsritummarach, the north east of Thailand.

Sprash Water, Thai Kid, photo by Sw Eden on Flickr

Cathleen McGuigan wrote on NewWeek.com under a topic of “The Bad News About Green Architecture” about the unpleasantness in the design of green building. She described that the green buildings work so good by themselves, but people still have to drive to work. In my opinion, moral is more important than an object. One Bryant Park has a system of recapturing rainwater which is good, but many people who do not pay for the water bill will never think about saving the water. For example, many women always turn on the tap when they are doing their hair in public restrooms, and many men liked to do that when they are shaving. I have visited a company that my parent worked with, and I saw the janitor turn on all taps in the restroom at the same time to clean an individual sink. Moreover, he spilled some detergent on the restroom floor, and he used whole roll of paper towel to absorb it, then he threw that roll away. Paper is made by the trees. If only people waste and kind of material, that is the way they waste the energy, because all manufacture processes have to use the energy. This mean many people cannot change their attitude, if the results do not impact them directly. If we can change their habits, the world will be able to save the energy by this method more than the green design many times.

Want to pee again, photo by Sw Eden on Flickr

Not only the gray water system that One Bryant Park has, it also has air-condition ventilator on the floor. Most of buildings in the world have air-condition on the ceiling, which is far from human living space. What One Bryant Park does should be so good during the winter, because people love to feel hotter at their feet and feel colder at their heads.

Green design is enjoyable as people love to hang out in the park. People like the sun rather than a electric bulb. I always cheer the green design, but we have to accept that there is no building in the world can be 100% green. Although the big window can save the electricity used in bulb, the building also lose its heat in the winder through the window about 30 times bigger than the wall. If the office loves to use air-condition so much, the big window can also heat the interior up as the system of greenhouse effect. The better way to save the energy during the summer is using fans and open windows instead of air-condition, but it is still the problem for the offices in the high pollution areas.

Narita Airport Facade, photo by Sw Eden on Flickr

One of the towers of K Bank (Kasikorn) in Thailand uses a special kind of glass for their facade. Its glass does not create greenhouse effect as other towers do. The color of its glasses seems white and can reflect the light very well. It is not dark color that will absorb the heat into the glass itself. Considering about the north pole, Greenland and the south pole, they are not only the cold place to keep the world cold, but they are also big white areas to reflect the heat out from the world. I tried to say that the colors of facade and rooftop are very important, too.

I went to Japan accidentally when the flight to USA was delayed. Narita Airport sent Thai people into its hotel for one night. It was winter at that time. We could not make a far trip, because we did not have Japanese visas. I walked to see its swimming pool. It was surprising me that it was covered by half-sphere glasses, and the water was one of the glass’ layers. The temperature was quite fine. The water can act better than the gas or air space actually. If you are a Bible reader and you can remember the Great Flood (Noah’s Ark), the water was from the sky and that means the planet earth had been surrounded by the water. The water can prevent many kinds of rays from the universe and the sun, and it acts very well in this Japanese swimming pool. The Bible also shows that after the Great Flood, humans’ ages were reduces from 800 to be less than 100 years old. Humans’ genes began to have mistake, because the water-atmosphere was destroyed. Brother and sister could not marry anymore after that time.

Koh Chang Tropicana Thai Spa, photo by Sw Eden on Flickr

For the case of using gray water in flush toilets, I cannot say that the toxic rain may destroy the toilet, and the owners may need to pay more to repair whole things. I had talked with a ship owner when I went to at the south ocean of Thailand. I asked him for the reason that he still used tab water for flush toilets in the ship, because he could get salt water from the sea very easily. He told me that salt water had destroyed his flush toilets before. I cannot fully believe in his words, when I think about how much pH in human’s urine comparing with pH in salt water. The rainwater should not have less pH than human’s urine, too. That’s mean using gray water may be good enough to be considered as a part of green design.

The Gherkin Building in London should be praised, especially its system of natural air ventilation which is created by the tower’s aerodynamic form and ‘double skin’ facade (Hannah Bullock, http://www.forumforthefuture.org.uk, 2003). Moreover it support the biking people by its bicycle service.

For car industry, many new electricity cars were produced, because people believe that using the electric city is better for environment rather that using benzene. If they consider about electricity producing process, both types of cars are not much different. Most electricity is from coal factory outside the city. To use electricity cars is only move the pollution in the city to outside the city. All still heat up the world.

To get a clear energy may cost higher at the first installing, but it works very well in long term and it is also good to the world, too. The words that pop-up in your head should be solar, wind and water from dam. We can also think about other cheaper things to install, such as roof pond and water coil on the roof to make hot water for hot country.

Dams are something truly green, although they do not look green. A dam does not only produce a lot of electricity, but it can be the biggest green project in the world. Although the government have to destroy a lot of forest area to make a dam and the concrete surface can heat up the temperature around, the dam can keep the water to serve people all year long. When people have water to use, especially for agriculture, they will create the evergreen lands around the rivers, because the rivers have never dried. The places that had been desert during the summer time, the dams can make it to be evergreen territory for whole year. I visited many dams in Thailand during my vacations. The weather was quite hot, especially on the highest part of the dams. People cannot stand without umbrellas in the sunny day. I looked into the town side, and I was very impressed. All territory was green with banana and rice farms. That dam is, “Kun-Dan” Dam (เขื่อนขุนด่าน) in Nakorn Nayok.

I was in a seminar of Dr. Smith Dharmasaroja with other Silpakorn University professors and students in 2008. Dr. Smith explained about the disaster from the dam in the north part of the world. He said that that the current planet earth was just like a feeble spinning top with 23 degree leaning, and if people kept making dams above the equator, the earth would be end faster. Most of the lands on the earth are above the equator, so most of the dams will be above equator, too. This may be real, but I cannot fully believe it, because I cannot know if the south part of the world is exact the below part of the spinning top. The words, “North Pole” and “South Pole” are only what humans used to call for representation. (The first map was made by European, so they would love to show themselves on the North.) If we do not consider about what Dr. Smith said, the dam is still not so useful in many ways as I mentioned before.

I also have another reason to support that the south pole can be the top part of the world, if the world acts like a spinning top. Generally, we know that a biggest ozone hole is at the south pole, and the air of south pole is the lowest moisture air in the world (like the desert air). That mean the south pole does not have much of substance in atmosphere. If we notice the hurricane which acts in the same way, we will see the cloudless space at the eye of hurricane, which is the top part of it. That is the reason that I guess that the south pole is the real top side of the world. You can simply test this method at home. You just have a bowl of water with some sand or dust in it, and then you stir the water around; you will see the dust crowd at the bottom, and the water is hollow at the top when you are stirring.

NASA already found the water on the moon. It also loves to research the Mar. That means humans are looking for new places to live. Why don’t they want to make the world better rather than being hopeless to keep the world green. We cannot stop people who cut the trees down. We cannot stop people who burn the forest. We cannot stop people who keep punching the holes at the north pole for their ice testings (the ice melts faster if the bigger surface touch the water). We cannot stop people who consume everything wastefully. The results are bigger and stronger hurricanes and toxic. Finally, their acts just kill other innocent people who may have never hurt the world.

Citicorp Center Building, Structure and how to solve problem

My field is Architecture, so I should have written something about it, but I did not; so now, here is the first time I write about Architecture.

Citicorp Center was design by Bill LeMessurier. He needed to show his main structure which was 4 9-floor-tall columns outside the building, be each column located at the middle of each elevation. This is an awesome design, but this building got less stable than usual buildings which the columns are at the corners.

Firstly, the main structure was big triangle trusses inside with bolt joint which is cheaper than weld joint. When it got build, the calculation result was it would be able to stand for 16 years, and collapse when the storm came. Bill LeMessurier got hard time to run around to look for someone to solve this problem. He found that he needed to add more members into the structure and weld them all again. All cost $4.3 million, which the company paid for. At the end, the building would stay till the 700-year storm.

The thing that Bill LeMessurier taught his students is to have a social obligation. It is a moral of responsibility to fix the problem that they made.

We may be able to look at this project of Citicorp with the American belief. At first, with this cool design, the building might not strong enough to stand, but with Bill LeMessurier’s effort, he could make his dream came true. On the other hand, he should have told this problem to the Citicorp company before it is too late to fix with the big money. He might need to stop the project and re-designed which might costed cheaper and to fix.

Anyway, Bill LeMessurier became the hero by this master piece, and that is the world knows his Citicorp Center.
