Sw Eden fascinated with Melodic Death Metal when Sw was in high school and early college time. Sw Eden used to feel that it is the super cool thing to listen to. If I could listen to hard/dark/heavy things, I would be the most excellent listener. I actually liked when the music loud out my brain. I loved to hear the bold guitar solo which did not make me happier, but make me bolder. I loved to scream their way and annoyed all my neighborhood in the dormitory. If they forgot about X Japan (Biography 1, 2, 3), they knew me as the Heavy Metal lover. I was so proud with that.

During the first year in the United States, Sw Eden took an Architecture Design class with my friend, Steven. Every time I talk with him, it will about about melodic death metal. He had promised me the show, so he bought a ticket of a band called, “Alcest”, but I was the one who missed the promise. I bought the ticket already, but I just knew in that morning that I could not go. Steven told me the guitar sounds so awesome, and it was very packed when the band played. He stood in the second row from the front, but his camera did not work.
He got me a Alcest “Lunar Abysses” Over North America Tour T-Shirt which should be $25. He said that it is more than the price of an album and the price of the show. He did not want me to wear it, because of the quality of material. He told me that I should pin it up on the wall, because of its super cool swan-like logo.
Death Metal or Black Metal bands always play the graphic with beautiful curved line and silent/stable dark artwork. Their music videos do not tend to have the story, but just the way they play the instruments. Sw Eden’s favorite type of music video is not both Black Metal style and love story teller. Sw Eden likes the graphic/symbolic one such as the original lineup of Panic! at the Disco and Zi:Kill. The old Panic! at the Disco videos have a lot of things to think and to learn about. The lyrics are really great, too. When their songs combine with their symbolic music videos, they becomes a great piece of artwork.

เขาฝากความคิดถึงถึงแฟนโดยให้พระเจ้าช่วยดูแลเธอ เป็นเพลงหวาน และ มี Video ที่เกี่ยวกับการเดินทางที่ดูไม่ค่อยจะเกี่ยวกับผู้หญิง เนื้อเพลงฟังแล้วคิดตาม เป็นเพลงที่สวยมากเพลงหนึ่งที่มีเนื้อหากินใจ เช่นตอนที่ร้องว่า “There’s no one here while the city sleeps. เพลงนี้เป็นเพลง hot ลำดับต้น ๆ ที่คน vote ให้ มีการจัดเรียงที่สวย และเข้ากันได้ดีทั้งเพลง แม้ว่าจะเป็นแนว Metal แต่ด้วยความต่อเนื่องที่เนียนสนิท ทำให้ฟังแล้วรื่นหู และไม่รู้เบื่อ ถึงแม้ว่าเพลงจะยาว สว อิเฏล ชอบเพลงนี้มาก

Avenged Sevenfold เริ่มเพลงนี้ด้วยความช้า ที่หลายคนด่าว่าพวกเขาเป็น emo และเป็นเกย์ ซึ่งในอเมริกา มีพวกเกลียดเกย์มากกว่าที่ไทย หลายล้านเท่า คนมีฆาตกรฆ่าเกย์ปีละหลายคน สว อิเฎล เห็นว่า ถึงเขาอาจจะเป็นเกย์ แต่เขาก็เล่นดนตรีได้ดีกว่าหลายวงที่ไม่เป็นเกย์

Warmness On The Soul
เพลง Warmness On The Soul เป็นเพลงช้า เริ่มด้วยเปียโนที่หวานสุด ๆ การเล่นมีน้ำหนัก ซึ่งส่งอารมณ์เศร้า เหมือนกับ สว นั่งอยู่ท่ามกลามสายลม กับหมอกควัน พอจบท่อนเปียโน และกีตาร์ได้เริ่มขึ้น ข้าพเจ้าฉุกคิดถึงท่อนหนึ่งของเพลงของ ศรราม แต่ สว จำไม่ได้ว่าเพลงอะไร เพลงนี้หวานจนจบเพลง ไม่มีความรุนแรงมารบกวน เช่นเดียวกันกับ Seize the Day และ Dear God ดังนั้น สามารถเอาไปใส่ใน playlist ฟังก่อนนอนได้เลย

เป็นเพลงที่ทำให้ สว อิเฎล ชอบ Avenged Sevenfold ครั้งแรก เพลงนี้เป็น Metal มีการตะโกนเหมือน Death Metal ถ้ารวม Solo เข้าไป ก็เรียกว่า Melodic Death Metal และถ้ามีท่อนร้องที่ไพเราะ เรียกว่า Nu-Metal ดังนั้น เพลงนี้เป็นแนว Nu-Metal สว อิเฎล ชอบเสียงร้องของ Death Metal ของเพลงนี้มาก เพราะ Matthew Shadow ร้องได้โดยไม่ทำให้คนฟังรู้สึกปวดหัว หรือรำคาญเลย ความหมายของเพลงนี้น่าจะเกี่ยวกับ Bible ท่อนของ guitar เล่นง่ายกว่าเพลงอื่น ๆ ดังนั้นเริ่มฝึกจากเพลงนี้ก็จะดี และมีกำลังใจ
Dancing Dead
สำหรับเพลง Dancing Dead สว อิเฎล ชอบมากที่สุด มีความคล้ายคลิงกับเพลงแนว industrial metal แต่ สว ไม่ได้บอกว่ามันเป็น ซึ่งโดยปกติแล้ว Avenged Sevenfold ไม่ได้ทำเพลงแนวนี้ เพลงที่เห็น ๆ ว่าเป็นแนวนี้ก็คือเพลงนี้ และเพลง A little piece of heaven แต่เสียดายที่ Avenged Sevenfold ไม่ได้ทำ Music Video สำหรับมัน มีแต่แฟนเพลงที่ทำให้ และ สว อิเฎล ก็กำลังจำทำให้เช่นกัน Dancing Dead อาจฟังดูแล้วมือเนื้อหาที่ไร้สาระ แต่ ความมันส์ของดนตรี และการแต่ง สามารถทำให้คุณลุกขึ้นมาดิ้นได้ทั้งวัน และฟังกี่รอบก็ไม่เบื่อ
Demons
เพลงนี้อาจฟังดูเหมือนบนอยู่ในช่วงแรก แต่พอถึงท่อน hook คุณจะรู้ว่ามันมีความเป็นเอกลักษณ์ ไม่เหมือนกับเพลง Avenged Sevenfold เพลงอื่นซึ่งไปเน้นการทำให้เสียงลื่นซะส่วนใหญ่ สว ยอมรับว่าเพลงนี้เป็นเพลงที่เท่ห์มาก เพลงหนึ่งของวง ท่อนที่ท่านอยากฟังซ้ำแล้วซ้ำอีกคือ Demons, they follow me, cause my insanity
